MSE has assisted our clients in responding to interrogatories, requests for production and admission, preparation of trial exhibits, and review of opposition work products. We provide technical assistance in cases involving chemical releases associated with property transactions, affected landowners, and insurance claims. In many cases, this involves the review of opposition work products and their conclusions and recommendations. MSE also assists our clients in preparing technically-defensible and easy-to-understand trial exhibits that facilitate jury understanding of the litigation issues. As an example of our success in this area, we provided third party technical support on an insurance claim involving contamination of a large vehicle maintenance, mining, and solvent incineration operation at a cement plant. Our activities involved assimilation of a large body of technical information, support of testifying experts, and preparation of expert opinion and trial exhibits. After favorable case outcome, our clients later commented that our work "had devastating results to prior theories of coverage."
