MSE provides Environmental Assessment services to conform with federal requirements (NEPA) and other regulatory statutes. We have conducted or reviewed formal Environmental Assessments (EA's), Biological Assessments (BA's), and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS's) for state and federal agencies under a number of specific regulatory programs including major international development projects and active industrial operations. Our biologists and ecologists have conducted ecological risk assessments to evaluate impacts of industrial and other development practices on ecological and environmental resources. We have performed wildlife monitoring, aquatic and macroinvertebrate sampling, endangered and sensitive species evaluations for proposed state and federal infrastructure projects. We have assessed ecological risks posed to vegetation, aquatic life, and wildlife from exposure to contaminated media from mining operations domestically and internationally and assessed the bioaccumulation potential of heavy metals in sensitive watersheds.
